I don't want to believe this cos that doctor will be in lorry load of crap!!
So my colleague was complaining of lower abdominal pain and had to go to the clinic where she was to do a USS.
facts -
she just had a baby 9 months prior...
this is her second baby..
she had her through Caesarian Section..
Aunt flo hasn't come to town since (though before now when we talked about this - yeah, just as gist, don't u do that too? - she said she doesn't see it until she stops breastfeeding)
She's still breastfeeding...
She went for the scan only to come back with the story that they said they couldn't find her uterus?
we were like - WHAT?????
two other doctors were called and said the same thing..
they then told her to wait, drink more water and repeat..
they repeated..
same story!!
Say what!!
You needed to see her, she was in some state i can't explain.
we tried to allay her fears and all but mehn, deep inside me, i'm like ' dem no de search for uterus o, it should be right there'...
asked her if she's sure her husband wasn't told anything
she said no..he would've told her..
i just asked my husband- ' is it possible to remove someone's womb during CS and not tell her?'
and his reply was a loud -' mehn, dat doctor is in deeeeep shit!!, it's done if it's necessary to save her life at that point but she definitely should be told afterwards.'
she's supposed to re-scan today..and we are really hoping that the machine malfunctioned!!
noooooooooooooooooooooooo!....lets wait for the scan result for today....then...i would keep my peace ....but if it is the same as the previous ones...KAI! WAHALA DON SHELE BE THAT OOOOOOOOOO!
ReplyDeleteTHE HUSBAND HAD THE RIGHT TO KNOW DURING THE CS & SIGN HIS CONSENT ON THE PAPER IF TRULY A COMPLICATION AROSE DURING THE DELIVERY..in order to save her life...9ja doctors don't like telling their patients ANYTHING!....*sigh*...what a pity!
that doctor is in some deep shit, why would they do such a thing without her consent or her husbands.am hoping they do not pull some spiritual twist oh this oh.

ReplyDeleteHmmm, my beautiful people, we really pray that that's what happened..as an update, she ended up not doing it today o..i was in a meeting all day but when i got back to the office and asked her, she said she went and was told to come back ind a fternoon but she endedup not going again.

so she'll be doing it tomorrow..
This would be criminal if so. Maybe they did tell the husband? Na wao...

she's refused to return for a rs-scan..really, i don't understand her, she says she's too afraid, well. people are just different, i cant imagine not knowing for sure..but like i said, people are just different

If her uterus was removed without her knowledge . . . and she was not told thereafter, it is unethical and unprofessional.
